The Asgard easy-fit portable shed base is a solution for all new Asgard shed owners* Asgard sheds are made from the toughest, heavyweight, galvanised steel, making our impressive storage & garden storage the best on the market.  All Asgard sheds are precision-made, and therefore need a good, strong, firm, and level base to ensure a nice, quick, and easy installation.  A good installation will ensure the continued smooth operation of the locks and doors.  For many years now, we have recommended that all our sheds be installed on a concrete or tarmac surface.  Which is still very much the case, but... now there is another option for some of our storage units ...

Install Garden Sheds without digging up your garden!

You might not want to spend the weekend digging up your garden, or smashing up your new driveway...., so the design team at Asgard has developed an easy-to-use, portable, freestanding shed base system.

Shed base with almost no groundwork?

Setting up is super easy. You need to pop some flags down - one for each corner and make sure these are on a sound foundation and as flat as possible. This is quicker (and MUCH cheaper) than a full concrete base; this can be as easy as four flagstones or small dig-outs filled with postcrete in each corner. Postcrete is a really easy way to do this, and our top tip.

3x7 Asgard Sheds - Perfect for angled or sloped driveways

The new base system is perfect for driveways.  Imagine.... You have just had your drive re-paved, there is no way you are going to dig it up for a shed, so the easy-fit shed base is perfect, just drop it in place and adjust the levelling feet!!

Next, slide the chunky 100mm legs into place on the frame, and screw them in as level as you can by eye (each screw position gives you 25mm of adjustment, with a maximum of 50 mm). Once the base looks pretty close to level, a further 10mm of fine adjustment is available through the feet, a simple turn or two, and you can get your base super level.

Once level, then it's shed building time, bolt your base to the frame, and build your Asgard as per the supplied instructions.

Calling all Landlords, Tenants, and shared house owners.

Try our portable shed base, quick and easy installation, with minimum ground works, and when you leave the property, don't worry. Your money is safe, and you can take it with you!

Top tip:

Asgard sheds are built inside and out, which, when on the floor, often means standing inside your shed (our videos show this). If you are building on one of our shed frames, we always recommend purchasing a subfloor to sit inside the shed once it is completed, to ensure the base is as strong as possible.

We would always recommend using the base frame in conjunction with a wooden subfloor. This should be fitted once the unit has been built and before use.

You can not fit the subfloor during the build, only once it has been built (you need access to all the base fitting holes).
