At Asgard, we are committed to giving customers clear and accurate information about the materials used in our products.

Every official Asgard wooden subfloor is FSC® Certified. This certification applies only to the timber used in the wooden subfloor, not to the steel storage unit or the complete shed.

What is FSC®?

FSC® stands for Forest Stewardship Council®. It is an internationally recognised certification system that promotes responsible forest management and verified chains of custody for forest-based materials.

For timber products, FSC® certification helps show that the material has been sourced and handled through an FSC® certified system.

What does FSC® Certified mean?

When a wooden subfloor is FSC® Certified, it means the timber has been supplied through an FSC® certified chain of custody.

Chain of custody certification follows FSC® certified material through the supply chain, helping verify that it is identified and handled correctly from source through to the finished component.

The FSC® chain of custody certificate covering the timber used in Asgard wooden subfloors is held by Flexiform Business Furniture Limited. FSC® certification number: NQA-COC-002396.

How this applies to Asgard products

Our shed bundles are typically supplied with an official wooden subfloor, or can be purchased separately from your shed, providing a practical internal base for storage.

The FSC® certification applies specifically to this timber subfloor.

This means:

• Every official Asgard wooden subfloor is FSC® Certified.

• The certification relates only to the timber component.

• The steel shed itself is not FSC® Certified.

• The complete storage unit is not FSC® Certified.

• The certification does not apply to locks, hinges, panels, roofing or other non-timber parts.

• We make this distinction because FSC® certification is specific to forest-based materials and should only be used where it properly applies.

Why it matters

Timber sourcing is important, and customers should be able to understand where timber components come from. FSC® certification provides a recognised system for identifying timber supplied through a certified chain of custody.
