So, in the interest of full disclosure, we have answered the article (we don’t do he said she said) – there are plenty of sheds out there to choose from; it's down to personal budgets and a particular individual's needs.
So let's go.....

Both Trimetals and Asgard provide top-tier security, with products certified by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) to LPS1175: SR1 and endorsed by the Secured By Design (police preferred specification), ensuring the best protection for valuables.
Asgard: Fair enough, we do both have products certified by the LPCB. You can see our testing videos here. It's worth noting that it is our shed enclosures that have been tested; the actual sheds were tested, with no additional internal locks, and you can see that on our certificates, no extra locks needed. Hang on… Looking at point 3 on this certificate - that’s not the case for all sheds though…these Trimetals sheds need internal 3rd party locks to be compliant… Asgard don’t...so that's a factor to consider.
Asgard: Secured By Design, yes indeed, we both have products certified by these guys. We have pages and pages of them, and in addition, ours are insurance-approved, and locksmiths tested, and tested and approved by just about everybody you can think of....
Superior Scratch Resistance
Trimetals’ PVC-coated steel panels are more scratch-resistant than Asgard’s painted finishes, perfect for storing bikes, lawnmowers, and other outdoor equipment prone to scrapes.
Asgard: Interesting... we would have to check that one out…. Perhaps we could see their like-for-like test results. PVC is a decent choice, often used to cover untreated metal, a common thing to do with garages, fences etc. We opted for galvanised, painted panels, as the panels are heavy and secure; the plastic-covered steel is not always as strong. Also, we are ISO certified for various environmental certifications 14001, 9001, etc., and the PVC coating is much harder to recycle. Also, if the coating is compromised, the panels rot from the inside out.
Longer Guarantees
Trimetals offers a 25-year guarantee on PVC-coated panels, outlasting Asgard’s 10-year warranty and offering long-term peace of mind.
Asgard: 100% correct, our paint and metal guys suggest 10 years in line with their own warranties… with our locksmiths' approved locks having their own warranties (just in case) and of course our components such as hinges and shrouds are stainless steel, giving decades of life. There are sheds over 30 years old out there as good as new. We, as yet, have a 0.01% failure rate - time of writing 2026
Faster Delivery
Trimetals delivers within four weeks, compared to Asgard’s longer lead times of 8-10 weeks, ensuring quicker access to secure storage
Asgard: Not sure on this one… we placed a test order and it was 8 weeks… and the problem being the best .. is demand … we have a lot of demand; we are 100% upfront with our delivery times. Just like a new car, if you want to go for a premium brand, you will not get one off the shelf.
Space-Saving Design

Asgard: Sorry, guys…. The double doors on Asgard sheds are there for security… 3- and 5-point reinforced locking, and heavy-gauge steel and solid steel locking bars. That's why our sheds are certificated and don't need additional locks inside. However, we made our own up and over some years ago… it wasn’t very good, to be honest; they are really not very secure... so we discontinued it.
