When looking for a new shed, it can be confusing, all sheds can look the same, but they are not all the same.. 

What is the difference?

A number of manufacturers will add in a Secured By Design ground anchor and or approved bike chain inside a cheaper shed. The overall headline will then be Secured By Design, but the actual enclosure is not tested or approved, and instead, the shed relies on ground anchors and internal locking devices, not the unit itself, to keep your bikes and equipment secure and to gain certification. This means that most of your shed security comes into use after a thief has already broken in, giving access to your equipment. 

They might look like an Asgard shed but they are not and the price of these additional compulsory/ complaint locks can sometimes be a large percentage of the shed price. This is an important consideration when choosing a secure unit for your property.

Compare our test certification to other companies

The excellent Loss Prevention Certification (BRE) website hosts each manufacturer’s certification status.  Allowing a customer to compare security status and what individuals need to do to make their shed certificate compliant.
