Life at Lydia’s Chooses Her Asgard Metal Storage Shed
Lydia had two things in mind when choosing a shed for her home: it needed to feel sturdy and safe, and the colour needed to work with the house. The creator behind Life at Lydia’s found both in an Asgard Trojan Plus metal storage shed in Ivory.
There was one detail to sort out before installation. Lydia had patio slabs, but no full concrete shed base. She chose a Trojan Plus support frame, allowing the shed to be installed on a suitable, properly supported surface without laying a new concrete slab.
“I specifically chose it because of the colour. I just wanted something really sturdy and safe outside my house.”
Finding a shed that looks right at home
Lydia shares her home renovation and DIY projects on Instagram as @life_at_lydias. Her shed is a practical addition, but its appearance mattered too. She picked Ivory to sit alongside the house rather than treating the finish as an afterthought.
The Trojan Plus has double doors and is designed to hold garden equipment and bikes. For Lydia, the combination of storage space, steel construction and the colour she wanted made it a good fit.
No concrete base? Lydia had another option
“We didn’t have a concrete base. They do the support bases, which means I can put it on these patio slabs!”
The support frame is made for the Trojan Plus. It has adjustable legs and feet to help level the shed on a suitable surface. Lydia’s installation shows why it’s worth checking the base options for the particular shed you want before assuming you’ll need to pour concrete.
The frame still needs firm support underneath it. Patio slabs must be stable and properly laid; placing a frame over loose or uneven ground isn’t a substitute for preparing the site. If you’re considering the same arrangement, check the support frame requirements before booking installation.
What did Lydia think of the installation?
Lydia was pleased with both the finished shed and the way the job was carried out.
“The installers were amazing. Left no mess... It’s been such a good process!”
Her first verdict on the shed was even shorter: “I am obsessed with my Asgard shed.” She plans to share more of it on @life_at_lydias as she puts the new space to use.
If you’re looking at metal sheds or comparing tool sheds for your own garden, Lydia’s project is a reminder to make two decisions early: what you need to store, and what the shed will stand on. Explore the Trojan Plus metal storage shed and its compatible support frame to see how they work together.
