Andy Tennant - Access Bike Storage

Winter is with us shorter days and cold weather, Team GB cyclist, Andy Tennant, contacted Asgard looking to find a secure storage solution for his bikes and riding equipment, keeping them safe. With so many bikes and accessories to store, the answer was easy. The perfect outdoor bike shed solution for Andy was the Access Bike Shed. Why?? Simple, space and security.

With double doors and lift up lid the Access provides instant access when retrieving bikes, the simple keyed alike locking system is so easy you can unlock the bike store one-handed! With a bike storage capacity of up to 4 bikes*, Andy has no problems storing all his bikes and riding gear in one secure weatherproof bike box.

“Security of my equipment is always a concern. When looking for storage for my many bikes, I wanted something that was both secure and discreet. The Asgard shed fit the bill perfectly. I can fit 4 bikes in there, as well as spare parts.” - Andy Tennant.

Who is Andy Tennant?

Andy is a Professional Cyclist for Great Britain and Canyon Eisberg. In 2013, Andy was part of the gold-winning squad in the European Championships and a year later, completed double gold in the Team and Individual pursuits. Whilst specialising in track cycling, Andy is also a respected road rider and was invited to join Sir Bradley Wiggins high-profile team.

When he was younger, Andy battled with his weight and suffered from a heart condition which prevented him from taking part in physical activity. However, his love for cycling defied the odds and in 2005 he won the gold medal in the individual pursuit at the Junior Track Cycling World Championships in Vienna.

Why did Andy choose the Access Bike Box?

The Access bike shed is made from tough (20swg), galvanised (weatherproof) steel and includes some great design features that make this the ultimate storage solution for bikes. When taking security into consideration, the Access metal shed features a 3-point locking system which includes two heavy-duty external (steel plated) shrouded locking points and an integral deadbolt (steel) locking bar inside the doors. The hidden ventilation system in the roof is on hand to reduce condensation in the shed.

Andy wanted a place to store his many bikes, and our Access secure bike safe can hold up to 4 bikes*. With the double doors and a lift up gas-assisted lid, it makes it so much easier to get bikes and accessories in and out - perfect when dashing for that hastily arranged training ride.

“Setup took me and my father in law about an hour to build from start to finish. Clear instructions and only the need for a screwdriver and a spanner. If someone asked me for a shed recommendation, I would send them to Asgard instantly.” - Andy Tennant.
