Asgard Sheds - Police Approved Designs
What is Secured by Design?
Secured by Design is the initiative owned by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) that aims to reduce crime through effective environmental design. The scheme also calls for the installation of security products that meet police-approved standards. To achieve SBD status, Asgard products have undergone rigorous testing by the Loss Prevention Certification Board.
Secured by Design (SBD) was established in 1989 and is the title for a group of national police projects that focus on the design and security of new homes, commercial premises and car parks. The scheme also acknowledges the quality of various security products and crime prevention initiatives. SBD supports the idea that crime can prevented, by designing physically secure buildings and processes.
Working with the industry, Secured by Design tests houses and buildings to create high level security standards, whilst responding to trends in crime, as well as giving an input into a number of key standards. The Secured by Design Scheme has been proven to reduce the risk and fear of crime.
