Our sheds have always been groundbreaking. Asgard was the first to create so many storage units, and arguably the initiator of so many domestic markets in the storage industry.
Back in 2009, Asgard launched the first of their Motorcycle storage range… But why?
The First Asgard Motorcycle Shed
In 2009, our very own Andy Heath was very much in the world of furniture design, as well as dabbling in Asgard.
“Part of my remit was graphic design. And over the years, I formed a great relationship with one of our suppliers, who happened to be a big motorcycle rider, and (Dave) wandered into the factory one day, and suggested we look at a motorbike store. Boom! That was it. We adapted one of our garden sheds, stuck his motorbike in one, made a few tweaks, and we had a whole new 100% approved product”. - Andy Heath

As it happens, our design team had already had the base shed tested by the Loss Prevention Team, so I had the unit assessed by a few premium insurance companies, and the Locksmiths Association, and suddenly we had the only Police Preferred, Insurance Approved, Locksmiths Approved and Insurance Approved 100% British-designed and made storage unit on the market. Needless to say, a lot of companies have now copied our original design, and many of these manufacturers claim to be approved, but look closely, and it's the locks that are approved, not the shed. The difference is that our Motorcycle SHEDs are tested and don't require additional 3rd-party locks; that's what makes Asgard sheds unique. But as we keep saying, in that competitive marketplace, there is a place for everybody.

The original unit passed first time; we had a super secure unit. A great day out watching our unit being attached with real aggression… none of us expected that level of attack… but we passed; the testing guy did not get in.
The Asgard Motorcycle Storage Range
Now over 15 years old, our motorcycle range has just grown and grown, bigger and better, with more accessories, including an amazing light gantry, and awesome tool racks and shelves. Our customers make our simple sheds into full workshops. In the last few years, we upgraded the hinges to stainless steel for extra longevity, and over the years, we have varied the paint texture a little, as we are always conscious of our environmental impact, so we will always keep an eye on emissions and work with our suppliers to ensure we only use the cleanest materials in our manufacturing plant. We have recently introduced the Annexe Plus, a bigger and STILL tested bigger version, to accommodate the new larger e- bikes.

Our motorcycle range of storage units is one of our Police Preferred specification sheds. Super tough and featuring enhanced security features such as 5-point locking. Reinforced doors and shrouded lock mechanisms. As with all our approved sheds, this is Loss Prevention Tested, Secured By Design, Insurance Approved, and Locksmiths Approved.
Asgard is ISO14001 approved (quality audited), with industry-beating feedback of 4.5 on Trustpilot, and a Customer Concerns rate of less than 0.1% PA
