Triathlete Emily Bell Chooses Asgard for Garden Bike Storage

When amateur triathlete and Liv Cycling UK ambassador Emily Bell moved from London to Yorkshire, she faced a problem familiar to serious cyclists: where do you safely store a growing collection of bikes?

With no garage on the property and a wooden shed that didn't feel secure enough, Emily knew she needed something better. She'd wanted an Asgard for years, and now was the perfect time to add some garden bike storage with a small shed designed specifically for bikes.

From London to Yorkshire: A Cyclist's Storage Challenge

Emily Bell is a five-time Ironman finisher who qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. As Social Media Manager for Super League Triathlon and a qualified PT, triathlon coach, and Pilates instructor, she knows bikes. And as a Liv ambassador, she's got plenty of them.

"We've recently moved up to Yorkshire from London, and I wanted an Asgard forever. It is the perfect solution if you are in London where not many people have much storage space and it can be quite dangerous to store bikes. Now living in Yorkshire, we don't have a garage on our property, so it was like 'where are we gonna store our bikes?' and I've started to grow my collection now that I'm up here."

Why the Access Plus E-bike Store?

Emily chose our Access Plus E, one of our most versatile bike storage solutions. It features large double-door access, a lift-up lid with stainless steel hinges, and a full metal integral floor for strength and security.

A Metal Shed With Floor - Built just for Bikes

This metal shed with a floor provides added rigidity and long-term durability, making it ideal for valuable bikes and heavy cycling equipment. Inside, there are mounting plates for adding power sockets, perfect for charging e-bikes overnight. Emily also chose to add a subfloor, two shelves, 5 hanging brackets, and a ground anchor to her shed.

For someone like Emily with multiple bikes and all the associated kit, the Access Plus E provides the space and organisation needed without dominating the garden.

Protect a Cycle with Asgard Bike Security

When you need to protect a cycle, security isn't negotiable. Emily was clear about this:

"Didn't really feel secure with them being in our (wooden) shed, and I know Asgard sheds* are police approved, and everyone recommends them as the number one safety solution for storing your bikes, so I'm excited to have one!"

The Access Plus E is a trusted high-security bike shed and features a three-point locking system with stainless steel locking points and solid steel deadbolts. If you want to protect a cycle that’s essential to your training or daily commute, that level of security matters.

Small Sheds vs Large Sheds: Getting the Right Size

Choosing between small sheds and large sheds depends on how many bikes you're storing and what else needs to go inside.

Small sheds like the Access E or Addition work brilliantly for 1-3 bikes in smaller gardens or for front garden bike storage where space is limited. Large sheds like the Gladiator or Centurion are better for 6+ bikes, workshop space, or commercial use.

Emily's Access Plus E strikes that sweet spot for active cyclists who have several bikes and all the gear that comes with serious training.

The Colour

One benefit Emily didn't expect? How well the shed blends into her property.

"I'm also so happy how well it matches my path, my house, my shed, everything! That was an unexpected surprise. So yeah, I'm very excited to finally have my bikes out of my house."

The Access Plus E is available in three colours: Green, Brown, and Cream. The powder-coated finish is UV protected so it won't fade over time.
