British Transport Police target bike theft 'hotspots'

Railway station bike theft "hotspots" are being targeted by British Transport Police throughout June. Officers will be visiting stations in Kent, Sussex, and Surrey to speak to commuters and offer crime prevention advice. They will be checking bike racks and leaving information for the owners who have not used locks. Pc Jerry Isterling said the difficulty was that owners left bikes at stations for long periods or even overnight.
