Asgard continues to follow all government guidance as advised.
Our manufacturing plant will continue operating as normal as will our Customer Services and Delivery and Installation teams.
We have instigated the appropriate control measures to protect our staff and customers:
- Implementing the use of face coverings where appropriate, either a face shield or face mask.
- Using a disinfectant cleaning technique called "fogging" throughout the factory and offices.
- Social distancing throughout the buildings and when in vehicles where appropriate.
- Hand gel at all key points within the buildings.
Our shed installation teams and delivery teams will continue to adhere to social distancing guidelines and wear the appropriate PPE. When required.
We understand these are uncertain times and we really appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Logistics - Other world events have had an impact on our services to a small extent. Raw materials are on increased lead (delivery) times, however, we keep stock of most of the items we need. So the impact on deliveries and availability is negligible.

In regards to the latest Government update regarding Covid-19, and the nationwide tier system.
The government has stated manufacturing should continue and will not be affected by any restrictions currently in place. This means our manufacturing plant will continue operating as normal.
When considering the above information, we have put in additional control measures to protect our staff:
- Implementing the mandatory use of face coverings through all areas, either a face shield or face mask. The exact requirements of wear have not yet been agreed and will be identified following task assessments and feedback from yourselves.
- Using a disinfectant cleaning technique called fogging throughout the factory.
Our shed installation teams and delivery teams will continue to adhere to social distancing guidelines and wear the appropriate PPE. We understand these are uncertain times and we really appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Following the recent Government announcement of the three tier system, we would like to take this opportunity to assure you that Asgard is fully operational and continues to manufacture and deliver your sheds.
Asgard remains vigilant, preventing unnecessary risk to both our customers and our staff. Therefore, if you have an upcoming delivery, we would appreciate it if you informed us of any local lockdowns in your area that may prevent us from visiting the area to carry out deliveries and or installations.

Asgard is still operating a full delivery and installation service during these difficult times. Customers can be assured that our transport and installation teams have been trained and advised to work in accordance with current Government guidelines. All of our staff will maintain Social Distancing and wear face masks as appropriate during any shed installation.

As the restrictions begin to be lifted and the country as a whole begins to return to normal. Asgard continues to offer our full range of services. Our priority has always been the safety and wellbeing of our staff, as such we continue to monitor the situation and operate within Government guidelines.
We have refreshed our RAMS in line with current guidance and continue to operate in all sectors. Our sales and administration staff are fully operational, and we are encouraging remote working whenever possible.
As a result, customers may experience a slight delay in our response time, and on occasion, our delivery times maybe a little longer than expected. All customers will be kept informed of any delay with their orders.

Our excellent production, delivery, and installation teams continue to work hard to meet our customers’ demands. Naturally, they are bound by strict social distancing measures and we have implemented rules to protect the health and well-being of colleagues and our customers.

As we look towards returning to our workplace, the Asgard Health and Safety department have carried out a Covid-19 risk assessment. We have also taken reasonable action towards a safer working environment.

Asgard Secure Steel Storage is a sister brand to Flexiform Business Furniture, a UK office furniture company supplying major Government contracts. We manufacture all of our sheds and office furniture from the same West Yorkshire factory. While this doesn’t usually affect Asgard, Flexiform has several major government organisations who have called upon us to support them during the Covid-19 pandemic. This includes Public Health England, NHS Business Services Authority and the NHS (For example, the transformation of Excel events centre in London). Naturally, we want to help these clients and feel it is important for the country. During this time, our (Asgard) response time maybe a little longer than normal. However,
ALL ASGARD DELIVERIES WILL BE PROCESSED FOR MANUFACTURE AND DELIVERY AS NORMAL.

What can you do to prepare for your Asgard delivery?While waiting for your Asgard deliveries, have you considered doing a few bits of preparation around the garden: Preparing your shed base: We recommend preparing your base from paving slabs, tarmac or concrete. A solid level base is essential and will help speed up the installation of your shed! Read the preparing your shed base article here. Clear Shrubs and Bushes: When positioning your Asgard shed, we recommend keeping shrubs and bushes 1m away. This will minimise any condensation forming inside your Asgard, as plants give off moisture at night. While you are waiting, you could clear the site where your Asgard is due to go. Read the reducing condensation in a metal shed article here. Tidy your Existing Shed: Are you replacing your current garden shed? While you are waiting you could clear out your shed of old tools, pots and equipment. This will help make the most of the space within your shed. Measure up your New Garden Furniture: If you are planning to purchase some new sun loungers this summer, and store them in your Asgard during winter, then check out our internal measurements on the shed page to double-check they fit in. |
