Comedian Rhod Gilbert chooses an Asgard Twin Bike Shelter

Rhod Gilbert uses an Asgard bike shelter

It’s not just professional athletes that contact us for help and advice on their bike storage needs! Comedian Rhod Gilbert approached Asgard for a small bike shelter suitable for his London flat. With limited space available and only needing to store his own bike, Rhod opted for the Twin Bike Locker - a galvanised steel bike shelter to store up to 2 bikes. The bike shelter gave him the protection and security needed to store his bike outside of his flat.

Eager to meet Rhod, the Asgard shed installation team lept to install this comedy legends bike locker in London.

“It was a delight to meet Rhod and build and secure his bikes at his London home. It was a bit of a challenge with an unsteady ground, we had to do a bit of adjustment with a hammer and a saw but it will give Rhod’s bikes many years of protection from the weather”. - Danny, Asgard shed installation team.

Who is Rhod Gilbert?

Rhod Gilbert is a famous Welsh comedian, TV and radio presenter who is commonly known for his guest appearances on comedy shows such as BBC’s Would I Lie to You?, Have I Got News for You, QI, Mock the Week and Never Mind the Buzzcocks in which he became the permanent presenter for the final series. He has also appeared on Channel 4’s 8 out of 10 Cats and has presented his own TV shows. Rhod also hosted a weekly show on BBC Radio Wales.

Why did Rhod choose a Twin Bike Shelter?

Rhod needed a compact bike shelter to protect his bike from theft and weather. With just 1 bike to protect and space at a premium, Rhod opted for the Twin bike locker measuring just 900mm wide x 1900mm deep. The Twin Bike Shelter is made out of galvanised steel and features a ventilation system to minimise shed condensation, with additional hooks he can also safely store his cycling equipment and his bike within the bike locker.
