Recently Andrew Heath, Brook Chalmers and Stuart Leddy from Asgard Storage had the pleasure of delivering and building one of our sheds to Helen Scott MBE. We now have yet another Asgard owning GB Gold medal winning cyclist!
Scottie kindly supplied coffee and biscuits whilst the team got to work building the shed that will protect her bikes. Living 9 miles from the Manchester Velodrome where she trains, Helen told us she cycles to and from her training sessions and needed a safe, convenient place to store her bikes. We even got to look at her medals, which made our day.
Helen had also kindly arranged for her team mates to sign a number of plaques, which will be used in conjunction with our charitable work with Kirkwood Hospice. The Hospice provides specialist care and support for the terminally ill.
Signatures include Paralympic medallist Sophie Thornhill and GB Paracycling Strength and Conditioning Coach, Katy Marchant. Altogether we have over a couple of dozen cycling team autographs, with Elinor Barker getting her teammates to contribute to the signing of the plaques as well.
During Clerkenwell Design Week, Asgard’s parent company Flexiform Business Furniture will be having a charity raffle in their London furniture showroom and the signed plaques will be bolted to the side of an Asgard shed, which is up for grabs in the raffle.
